My interests lie at the intersection of media, society, and technology. I want to study how people interact with the internet, how digital services and devices act as vectors of behavior change, and how these topics weave into the fabric of democracy. Mis/Disinformation is a key element in this medley, acting as my north star as I journey further into the field.
Guiding questions include: How is mis/disinformation spread and amplified on digital platforms? How does its consumption affect the public's trust in truth? How does it fail?
Keywords: human-computer interaction; computer-mediated-communication; persuasive technology; captology; surveillance capitalism; privacy; big data.
